Mulberry House International Kindergarten hosted its Family Sports Day fundraiser at the Kowloon Cricket Club on November 23. The event, a fun-filled afternoon of games and friendly competition, raised funds for Operation Santa Claus (OSC).
Over 200 parents and their children aged two to six attended this delightful day of sports and games. Students playfully chased each other in games like “Catching Stars” and “Sharks”. Meanwhile, the energetic parent races were full of cheers from the lively crowd. More than 60 parents participated in the race, which was just as enjoyable for the adults as the children.
“We are so lucky to be able to join together and play, especially on this lovely green ground,” one parent said, overfilled with joy from the event.

Another parent agreed, adding, “The organisation and thought that has gone into making this Sports Day is so special, it can be seen and felt by all.”
United in community spirit, Mulberry House used the opportunity to come together and create lasting memories while raising funds to fulfil its mission of enacting positive change across Hong Kong.
“I give this money as a Christmas present to others,” explained one student, echoing the charitable values and compassion of the Mulberry House family.

Thanks to strong community support, the event raised more than HK$3,000. It was a rewarding experience and a memorable way to celebrate the holiday spirit while supporting a meaningful initiative.
Joanne Townsend, head of the school for Tai Po, said, “To be here and to be part of this special day is so rewarding, and we are proud of being able to give back to the community, a value that both Operation Santa Claus and Mulberry House International Kindergarten share.”
Since 1988, Operation Santa Claus has raised HK$383 million to support the Hong Kong community through 353 charitable projects. There are 15 charitable projects of worthy causes being funded by OSC this year. For more information on this year’s beneficiaries, please click here.
